Shieldex® Tüll
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100With 10% silver, this knitted fabric is particularly suitable for antibacterial applications. Silver is a biocidal active ingredient according to §67 EU Biocide Regulation. The textile Shieldex® Tulle is available in two versions. The narrower version has a width of about 110 cm and is also OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified while the second version is about 145 cm wide.
Shieldex® Tulle is a knitted fabric made of a fine, monofilament polymide yarn, which is thermally and electrically conductive. Due to the antimicrobial effect of the silver anchored in the textile, Shieldex® Tulle can be used in veterinary and human medicine as well as in wound care. In addition, Shieldex® Tulle has a shielding effect against electromagnetic radiation. It is therefore processed in industry in products that must ensure EMC protection. Examples include textile faraday constructions in clothing to reduce cell phone radiation to the body and as canopies in the private sector. Both conductive textiles are RoHS and REACH compliant and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified.
